Impatient, irritated or angry?

Impatient, irritated or angry?

You’re entrepreneurial and a go-getter.

Chatter, whining, and dawdling only irritate you. You get frustrated when others waste your time, wondering why things aren’t done faster or more efficiently.

Thoughts like, “There’s too much to be done in too little time,” and “This is going way too slowly!” often cross your mind.

Others may perceive you as easily irritated, and you’ve noticed they’re starting to distance themselves from you.

As a result, you’re experiencing a growing sense of disconnection from those around you, making life increasingly challenging.

Why are you irritated and angry?

Others don’t keep up the pace or make an effort, so everything falls on your shoulders.

You’re the only one who truly tackles the tasks and puts in the effort, while others are content to leave it all to you.

You’re constantly busy and have no patience for nonsense.

Others move too slowly, are verbose, and chatter without getting to the point.

As a result, projects and tasks often take longer than expected, wasting valuable time.

You want to relax and live well, but there’s still too much to do and not enough time to get it all done.

In response, you may find yourself insisting, checking, controlling, and constantly following up on progress. You might express your disappointment and irritation about the slowness and try to increase your own pace.

As frustrating as the slowness is, insisting doesn’t solve the problem; instead, it disrupts the flow and creates more resistance.

From experience, I’ve learned that this approach is not the key to effective collaboration and meeting deadlines.

Breaking these patterns on your own can be challenging, and you might find that you need help.

Transforming your impatience, irritation, and anger while preserving your talent for speed requires a thoughtful approach. Engaging in a conversation about the root causes and how to address them can be both revealing and productive, even if it’s sometimes confrontational or uncomfortable.

You’ll benefit from a conversation partner who understands your perspective as a parent, entrepreneur, partner, and individual.

About Job

"At work, you move at lightning speed, but in the process, you push others away. Your irritability creates distance with those you wish to have close to you."

What some of my past client had to say

You have helped me to understand where negative beliefs and expectations come from and that I control how I perceive each situation.
I now feel very confident in my ability to achieve what I want to in my life and I feel so much lighter in my whole body after my sessions with you!
I have gained clarity over some past events in my life and I can now look at these events as stepping stones on my path and certain people as teachers on my path.

Job Smulders helped me, when I felt not accepted and was experiencing self doubt. He skillfully guided me through the discovery and reframing of my old and negative beliefs around the subject in a supportive and loving way. The whole process helped me to love and accept myself more and become happier and more content.

Before working with Job I was holding onto limiting beliefs, trauma and emotions relating to betrayal as a child, problems with romantic relationships and opening myself up to more abundance. Since working with him all of those have completely cleared and I am living my highest and best version of myself and fully embodying my new reality. If you are thinking of working with Job I highly recommend it! He is intuitive, supportive, wise and will help you on your journey!

The new you

What does it look like?

I won’t promise that you’ll never face bickering or hassle again, or that you’ll never get angry.

However, you will make significant strides in overcoming stubborn, energy-draining patterns. Yes, it will require time, energy, and money, but the reward is worth it.

You’ll find renewed satisfaction in your job. You’ll feel more connected to your family, partner, and colleagues. You’ll explore how to better receive and give love, appreciation, and respect.

You’ll discover ways to create more time and appreciation in your life. You’ll learn to manage chatterboxes, long-winded people, and time-wasters more effectively. You’ll be able to relax during moments that used to trigger irritation.

You’ll experience life with renewed joy and light-heartedness, as you learn to set boundaries around time, appreciation, and connection in a kind and assertive manner.

In a Nutshell:

There will be fewer arguments and less anger, with more fun and laughter. You’ll experience reduced pressure and stress, and enjoy more free time for the things you love.

How do we get there?

We meet twice a month, with at least one session in person. If you enjoy activity, you’re in luck: we’ll walk together in nature around Hilversum or in the Gooi area.

Our sessions begin with your goals: who you want to become, what you want to achieve, and the life you envision, as well as what you want to leave behind.

During our conversations, I’ll help you let go of limiting beliefs and ideas. I’ll guide you in increasing your awareness of your thoughts, feelings, words, and actions, helping you reconnect with what’s truly important to you. Sometimes, we experience anger and irritation not just mentally but physically, as tension or cramps in the body. We’ll work to create space and relaxation.

From this new awareness, we’ll collaboratively work towards creating the ideal situation or state of mind you aspire to. Between our sessions, I’ll occasionally send you short reminders via WhatsApp, as I understand that a little extra encouragement in daily life can be very effective.

FAQ

Are my contact details passed on to anyone else?

Never.

What is the difference between life coaching and counseling?

In simple terms, most forms of therapy, including counseling, focus on ‘what has happened’. They are concerned with ‘the problem’ and with regaining mental balance and perspective.

All the while coaching focuses on what is possible for the future. It’s action oriented and supportive in helping clients move towards their ambitions.

What is your professional background?

I’ve practiced in NLP, Inner Child Healing, Gestalt Therapy, Journey Work, and more. In a previous life I’ve also worked as a career counselor and also tested candidates with psychological tests (assessment centers).

On top of that – I’ve been an entrepreneur for many years – so I know first hand how important self development is and why having someone guide you to where you want to be is so important.

What are my payment options?

My clients pay by bank transfer or credit card (via PayPal). Some business clients pay via their company invoicing system.

Where can I see testimonials?

I am Job, living with my wife and three teenagers in Hilversum.

Since 2015, I have been increasingly approached by people around me as a sparring partner/coach, whatever you want to call it. In recent years, I have actively kept time free in my schedule to be a sounding board for mainly busy professionals between the ages of 35-55.

I live near nature and I walk an average of about 40 kilometers per week. Walking is a breath of fresh air for me, as I am not good at sitting still. 😊 Many of my coaching sessions are done outdoors, while walking. But there is always the option to work indoors in my coaching space.

Appreciation, balance, anger, and being connected. These themes I have extensively experienced and explored myself in recent years and through the multiple coaching trainings I have completed. My fascination lies in how we view our world and how this affects our emotions, our actions, and so our life. I have a large toolkit of methods and interventions. I draw a lot of inspiration and methods from the work of Tony Robbins, Bashar, Brandon Bays, Nick Breau, and many more.

Central to my approach is slowing down to become (more) aware of what we think, what we belief to be true, and what we feel. I do not work according to a fixed methodology, but I use a backpack full of tools. It is beautiful to see and experience that listening, asking questions, walking, short activations, and interventions can lead to real and deep changes in the dozens of people I have guided over the past years.
